You Can't Afford to Faint Now

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

One of the most fascinating creatures on the Earth is the eagle. Regal in nature, the eagle is large with a wingspan of 65 to 85 inches. Eagles don't fly with birds who are not part of their species. They only soar at the highest altitudes with other eagles. When a storm approaches in the atmosphere, while other birds scatter in attempts to find coverage from the destructive winds, eagles face the storm head on. As the storm approaches, an eagle will fly directly into the storm, spread its wings, and allow the storm winds to carry it without exerting any energy, giving it time to rest. When the eagle has garnered enough strength, that same eagle will use its powerful wings to fly above the storm.

Like the eagle, I am sure you can remember times when you have found yourself in the middle of a storm. Sometimes, life throws a curve ball in your finances and you find yourself in a place struggling to make ends meet. There may be times when it seems like everything around you is completely out of control. Regardless of where you are in your life, rest assured that at some point we all may come face to face with some type of storm. My question to you today is, what will your response be when the storms of life come barreling down in your direction?" I encourage you today to soar through your storm like the eagle.

The amazing thing about God is that He can take a situation that appears to be destructive and use it for your good and His glory. Your response to the storm in your life will determine the level of impact it will have on you and those around you. A natural and human response during one of life's challenging moments would be fear, frustration, intimidation, discouragement, and anger. However, when you know that you serve a God who is Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Sovereign, and always in control, you make that move to shift your thinking even when it looks like the world is falling apart. Your flesh says be afraid, but your SPIRIT says, use this storm as an opportunity to gain the strength you need to soar into your next level. God will use adversity to drive us into the secret place with Him, off our phones, away from our TV's, and on our faces in His presence. When the storms of life begin to blow, know that God is getting ready to manifest Himself as Jehovah Perez - the God of the Breakthrough. His grace is powerful enough to carry through any season of your life. You just have to trust Him enough to rest, allowing Him to carry you through the storm. You can't afford to faint or grow weary now. Your blessings is on the horizon on the other side of your storm. Hold on!

There are times we forfeit the power and blessing God has for our lives because we don't have the tenacity to endure. God is calling all of us to build our spiritual muscles and not surrender to the devices of the enemy at the first sign of trouble. When those storm winds begin to blow, be resolved to put on the whole armor of God. Those are the moments that you have to CHOOSE to STAND on the word of God. Confidently stand on these words from the apostle Paul in II Corinthians 4:8,9, "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed."

Your storm, whether it is current or coming, is the vehicle through which you will give birth to your next level in God. If you quit, give up, roll over, and play dead, you will not be the man or woman of God He has called you to be. So what will you do with your storm. Make the choice to stand and allow the storm winds of life to propel you to your next level in God.
